Tragic Gas Cylinder Blast at Islamabad

A gas cylinder explosion inside a wedding house in G-7/2 sector of Islamabad claimed six lives, including the bride and groom, on Sunday.

According to officials, the blast occurred while wedding guests were present at the venue, triggering panic and causing severe structural damage to the wedding house as well as four nearby residential buildings.

Rescue teams immediately launched a search-and-rescue operation. All victims trapped under the debris have since been recovered, while K-9 units and modern detection equipment continue to conduct precautionary site inspections to rule out any further risks.

Authorities have launched a formal investigation to determine the exact cause of the explosion, with initial reports suggesting a possible gas cylinder malfunction.
